Start with the finished export
A project file from an editor is not necessarily the media the customer expects to play. Export the agreed deliverable in your production software, open that export independently, and inspect the beginning, end, and any personalized sections. Keep source projects separate unless they are explicitly included in the sale.
Confirm how the buyer will use the media. A phone greeting, a broadcast asset, and a multitrack music package have different receiving requirements. Record those requirements before choosing export settings, rather than optimizing every delivery for the smallest possible file.
Upload or link decision matrix
| Condition | Useful route | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Accepted file comfortably below upload limit | Order-item upload | Actual downloaded export opens correctly |
| Large package or unsupported extension | Externally hosted link | Recipient permissions and download behavior |
| Several files needed together | Tested archive or hosted package | Manifest, extraction, and total size |
| Customer expects streaming or access controls | Evaluate a dedicated media service | Capabilities at the provider, independent of delivery |
QuickAttach support specifies files under 100 MB. Measure the finished upload; the size of an editing timeline or source folder is not the relevant value. Do not assume that using a link copies the media into QuickAttach or changes permissions at the external host.
A fictional birthday recording
Demo order 5141 contains a personalized audio greeting. The creator exports a final listening copy and verifies the spoken name against the order. A separate demo order contains a longer video whose finished export exceeds the upload limit. The first may suit a tested upload; the second needs a suitable external destination or a revised export that still meets the buyer's requirements.
Send useful playback instructions
- Identify the media title and version.
- Explain whether the customer will download a file or visit a hosted page.
- State any required sign-in at the external destination.
- Ask the customer to report the device and visible error if playback fails.
- Keep a maintained original outside the delivery workflow.
Test a representative phone and desktop path with synthetic media before promising a smooth experience. No playback or compatibility test has been executed for this guide; the matrix is a planning tool for your own evaluation.
