Deliver a Custom Song File After a Shopify Purchase

Finish the song in your production tools, confirm the purchased deliverables, and send the agreed mix against the matching Shopify order. Include a plain-language file guide and the separately agreed usage terms.

Define what the commission includes

A custom song order might include one finished listening copy, an instrumental version, lyrics, or stems. Do not let the delivery folder decide the scope by accident. List the purchased outputs before exporting, and distinguish the buyer's listening file from studio source materials.

Any usage permission should come from your actual agreement. Delivery software does not generate a music license or establish rights to samples and performances. Explain where the buyer can find the agreed terms and resolve unclear uses before release, particularly when the buyer intends commercial publication.

Fictional song package

For demo order 5142, a fictional customer commissions an original celebration song called “The Lantern Table.” The example includes a main mix and an instrumental because those outputs were specifically ordered. No audio has been generated or tested for this article.

Order: DEMO-5142
Package: lantern-table-v02
Included: main listening mix; instrumental mix; lyrics text
Excluded: multitrack project and stems
Personalization check: fictional name and occasion confirmed
Usage reference: agreement supplied separately by the creator
Support: quote DEMO-5142 and the affected mix

The exact filenames should add the actual export extensions. Keep matching revision numbers across the package when they refer to the same approved performance.

Review the rendered audio

Listen to the final export rather than relying on playback inside the session. Check the personalized name, the complete ending, unwanted count-ins, and whether the instrumental really omits the lead vocal. An accidental alternate take is easy to miss when the filenames are almost identical.

Audio tools perform the export. For example, the Audacity manual distinguishes the editing project from exporting a playable audio file. Choose settings that fit the customer's intended use and test the receiving device.

Delivery check

Use the QuickAttach order workflow for the final transfer. It does not compose the song, clear music rights, or provide DRM. Retain your production master in your normal archive and make the customer-facing availability terms clear.
