Define the final before the commission starts
Agree on intended use, dimensions, file formats, and what the purchase includes. A web illustration, a print-ready image, and an editable source project are different deliverables. Do not assume the buyer expects all three.
Keep creative feedback and approval in the process your studio actually uses. QuickAttach is a delivery tool, not an art generator or a native commission-approval system.
A fictional commission handoff
DEMO-521 purchases an original illustration of a fictional greenhouse. The artist prepares a preview, receives approval through the studio’s separate review process, and exports a print image plus a smaller web copy. The delivery operator receives only the approved package and its release note.
| Stage | Output | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Preview | greenhouse-preview-R1.jpg | For agreed review only. |
| Approved final | greenhouse-final-R2.zip | Customer-ready exports. |
| Handoff note | READ-ME.txt | Which file to use and support route. |
The example is synthetic and does not display commissioned customer artwork.
Inspect the exported package
- Match the commission reference and order item.
- Confirm the final approval through the studio record.
- Check dimensions, orientation, and export formats against scope.
- Remove previews, alternate drafts, and unrelated source material.
- Open every included file from the final package.
- Confirm the buyer can access and extract it.
If several files belong to one item, a tested ZIP or controlled destination may be suitable. Do not assume multiple separate attachment slots or one file slot per unit of quantity.
Deliver instructions with the art
QuickAttach supports item-specific files or links. Its upload guidance specifies files under 100 MB. Large source projects may need another approved route, with permissions and availability checked separately.
Tell the buyer which export is for print, which is for web, and whether source files are included. Include the approved usage document if the engagement requires one; do not invent rights in the delivery message.
Record the final revision and package reference. If an image is corrected later, explain the visual change and which file it replaces. The buyer should be able to identify the current artwork without searching through a chain of unlabeled previews.
