Deliver Licensed Artwork with Its Usage Document

Package the approved artwork and the usage document that applies to it, using matching references and revisions. Delivery does not create a license or determine the buyer’s legal rights.

Use an approved document source

The artist or responsible rights owner should provide the usage document through their established process. The delivery operator should not draft new rights in an email or infer permission from a file format.

This guide is about packaging and distribution, not legal interpretation. Questions about permitted use, restrictions, or disputes belong with the responsible rights owner or qualified adviser.

All documents in a test should be clearly labeled as samples and should not imply a real grant of rights. The matrix demonstrates how the references travel together.

Check the association before release

  1. Confirm the artwork is the approved final revision.
  2. Verify the usage document came from its authorized owner.
  3. Match the document’s artwork reference to the delivered file.
  4. Check the purchased item and authorized recipient.
  5. Remove unrelated licenses, drafts, and source projects.
  6. Open every file from the final package.

If the buyer purchases multiple artworks with different terms, do not include a generic document unless the rights owner confirms it applies to the complete set. Use an explicit manifest for each artwork-document relationship.

Keep the customer message factual

QuickAttach can deliver the prepared package from an order. A useful message says the artwork and its accompanying usage document are available, identifies the package, and directs questions to the proper contact. It should not paraphrase complex terms in a way that changes their meaning.

If several files belong to one item, use a verified ZIP or controlled destination. Check the upload size guidance and external permissions where relevant.

A download event does not prove that the customer read or accepted the usage document. If your process requires an acceptance step, use an appropriate separately verified arrangement. If either artwork or usage document is corrected, obtain the approved replacement and explain which earlier package component it supersedes.
