QuickAttach is a product of Urbix Group Pty Ltd. Before it existed as an app, Urbix Group was already running Shopify stores that sell personalised tarot and astrology readings — a product delivered by email, written specifically for the person who ordered it, after they've paid. That is a much harder delivery problem than it sounds, and every standard Shopify digital-download app we tried was built for a different one.
The problem with a one-file-per-product download.
A digital-download app assumes the file exists before the sale: upload one PDF to a product, and every buyer who purchases it receives that same PDF. A personalised tarot reading breaks that assumption completely. The file does not exist at checkout. It gets written afterward, by a real person, based on what that specific customer asked. Two customers buying the identical "Love Reading" product need two completely different documents, tied to two different orders.
The same is true for astrology reports built from someone's exact birth details, or any product where the deliverable is made to order rather than pulled off a shelf. A single static file attached to the product page cannot represent any of that.
What we actually needed.
Running the readings business surfaced a short, specific list of requirements — not a hypothetical feature list, the actual gaps that caused real customer support tickets:
- One file or link per order, not per product. The reading has to be tied to the order it was written for, so nobody accidentally receives someone else's reading.
- A record of what's pending versus delivered. With readings coming in daily, the team needed to see at a glance which orders still needed a finished document attached.
- A branded delivery moment. An email that looks like a plain file attachment undersells a reading someone paid for personal attention to receive.
- A place the customer can find it again. Readings get referred back to. An email gets lost; an order-status page does not.
From internal tool to Shopify app.
QuickAttach started as the internal workflow that solved this for Urbix Group's own stores, before it was ever offered to other merchants. That's also why the product examples across this site are not abstract — reports, certificates, proofs, and readings are the literal categories we needed to support ourselves, not a list assembled from a competitor's marketing page.
The same gap applies well beyond tarot and astrology: certificates, professional reports, custom design proofs, or any deliverable finished after checkout instead of stocked in advance. If a customer's order and a customer's file need to stay attached to each other and a standard digital-download app can't do that, it's very likely the same problem we started with.
