Shopify use case

How to deliver astrology reports through Shopify.

Sell the reading at checkout, create the report afterwards, and deliver the exact PDF to the customer who ordered it.

An astrology report is not a standard digital download. The customer pays for an interpretation created from their details, so the finished PDF usually does not exist when the Shopify order is placed. The reliable workflow is to collect the order information, prepare the report, attach it to that specific order, and then send the customer a clear download path.

This keeps a personalised reading connected to the person who bought it. It also gives your team a record to check when a customer asks whether their report is ready or needs another copy.

Why a normal digital download workflow breaks.

Product-level download apps are designed for a file that is the same for every buyer. That can work for a birth-chart guide or a fixed workbook. It does not fit a report written for one customer.

Emailing PDFs manually can work at very small volume, but it separates the report from the Shopify order. A shared folder adds another place to check, and a generic download link can make it difficult to confirm which customer received which file.

A practical astrology-report workflow.

1. Capture the information needed for the reading.

Make the required details obvious before or during the order process: for example, the customer’s birth date, birth time, birthplace, and the type of reading they selected. Keep the wording specific so the report creator can work from the order without chasing missing information.

2. Keep the order as the work queue.

Once payment is received, the order should tell your team what was purchased and what still needs to be prepared. Treat the order status and fulfilment process as the operational source of truth rather than a separate spreadsheet of report requests.

3. Create and check the report.

Prepare the PDF, then check the customer name, order number, report type, and file before delivery. This short review matters because the most damaging error is not a slow delivery; it is sending a private reading to the wrong person.

4. Attach the report to the matching order item.

When the file is ready, connect it to the order or line item it belongs to. That preserves the relationship between the paid service, the customer, and the deliverable.

5. Fulfil and give the customer a clear download path.

Send a branded delivery email when the report is ready, with enough context for the customer to recognise the order. A customer-facing order-linked path is more useful than an unexplained attachment because it can remain available for a later download.

Where QuickAttach fits.

QuickAttach is being built for this post-checkout workflow: attach the finished astrology report or a secure link to the relevant Shopify order item, deliver it through a branded email when fulfilment is ready, and keep the customer download path associated with the order.
