Identify what changes the care instructions
A handmade product can vary by material, finish, lining, or removable component. Those differences may change appropriate care. Record the relevant configuration during production and use it to choose or prepare the guide. Avoid personalizing only the customer's name while leaving instructions for the wrong material.
The maker or qualified product specialist should approve the instructions. This article explains document preparation and delivery, not a universal cleaning method. Where purchased components come with manufacturer guidance, check it before adding your own directions.
A fictional material-to-guide map
Demo order 5156 contains a handmade fabric storage pouch with a removable insert. The following map is an operational example, not care advice for a real textile.
| Component | Recorded attribute | Guide source |
|---|---|---|
| Outer fabric | Actual fabric batch used | Maker-approved fabric instructions |
| Insert | Removable version supplied | Approved insert handling note |
| Closure | Purchased closure type | Component supplier guidance |
The final guide combines the applicable instructions and removes irrelevant alternatives. If a production substitution changes the pouch, the guide must be checked again before delivery.
Make the guide useful after purchase
Put the product reference, guide revision, and support route near the beginning. Use short sections organized by the customer's task: routine care, storage, and when to contact the maker. Avoid adding medical, skin-health, or other unrelated claims to a product-care document.
Images, if used in the guide, should show the actual component or a clearly labeled example. Do not create a fictional product photograph and present it as evidence of the supplied item.
Release card
- Actual material and finish recorded.
- Instructions approved by the responsible maker.
- Substitutions checked against the guide.
- Export opened and readable on a phone.
- Order and guide revision matched.
- Physical dispatch status kept separate.
Deliver the prepared file through the QuickAttach order workflow. The app does not write or validate care instructions. If a later revision corrects the guidance, retain a record of which version was originally sent and communicate the correction clearly rather than silently changing the customer's reference.
