A Made-to-Order Digital Product Workflow for Shopify

Build a Shopify made-to-order digital workflow with clear handoffs from payment and intake to reviewed files, delivery, and support.

Write an honest post-purchase preparation update for a personalized Shopify file, with examples for active work and missing customer inputs.

Separate file readiness, delivery, download activity, and Shopify fulfillment so a custom digital order is not marked complete prematurely.

Define the milestones between Shopify checkout and custom-file delivery so staff can distinguish missing inputs, production, review, and release.

Write a precise pre-purchase delivery promise for custom digital products, including start conditions, business days, and incomplete-input handling.

Organize Shopify orders waiting on custom files with a practical queue sheet, priority rules, and a daily review of blockers and deadlines.

Create a release quality check for made-to-order downloads that catches wrong content, missing pages, unsuitable formats, and draft-version mistakes.

Manage late custom digital orders with a recovery record, realistic customer updates, and a clear owner for the next delivery action.

Plan custom digital production during a Shopify sales spike with a capacity worksheet and practical controls for deadlines and release quality.

Separate instant and made-to-order digital products in one Shopify store with clear product promises, release rules, and mixed-order checks.
