Write Turnaround-Time Messages for a Shopify Reading Service

State when preparation begins, when the reading is expected, and what the buyer will receive. Use specific service updates instead of language that suggests the personalized file exists immediately after payment.

Define the clock before writing the message

Choose whether preparation time starts at purchase or after required inputs arrive. Define business days and timezone if they affect the promise. A vague “within 48 hours” can mean something different to the customer than to a reader working weekdays.

The examples below are fictional templates. Replace their dates and durations with a schedule the service can actually meet. Do not imply that QuickAttach calculates deadlines or sends automatic reminders.

Before-purchase wording

This is a personalized written reading prepared after purchase. Your PDF is expected within [number] business days after we receive the required information. We work [days] in [timezone]. The order confirmation acknowledges your purchase; the completed reading arrives in a separate delivery message.

List required inputs clearly and collect only what the service needs. Keep promises about preparation separate from claims about what the reading can predict.

Input received

We have the information needed for order [reference]. Your [reading type] is now scheduled for preparation, with delivery expected by [date and timezone]. You will receive a message when the [PDF/audio/video link] is ready.

This message should be sent only after the team verifies the inputs. If information is incomplete, name the missing category without repeating private details in an email subject.

A delay notice with a real next step

Your reading for order [reference] needs additional preparation time. We now expect to deliver it by [revised date]. If that changes, we will update you by [earlier checkpoint]. Please contact [support route] if the revised timing does not work for you.

Give the customer the actual available support options through your store’s process. Avoid vague reassurance or a new deadline that has not been checked with the reader.

A fictional timing example

DEMO-516 is purchased on a Friday, but the required input arrives Monday. The stated service clock begins after complete input, so the team calculates its date from Monday under its published working-day policy. The message names the expected date rather than leaving the buyer to calculate it.

Close the loop at delivery

QuickAttach supports branded delivery emails for finished order files. The final message should identify the format and download action. If only one of several readings is ready, say which one and keep the next update for remaining work explicit.

Review these templates whenever the service schedule changes. Accurate expectations reduce confusion because the purchase receipt, preparation update, delay notice, and final handoff each have a distinct job.
