Send a Personalized Certificate of Authenticity with a Shopify Purchase

Associate the approved certificate with the specific purchased object and its verified reference. The delivery process distributes the issuer’s document; it does not authenticate the item or create a certificate of authenticity.

Match the object, not just the buyer

Two similar products may require different documents. Use the issuer’s approved internal record to connect the physical item, order entry, and certificate. Do not generate a serial reference in the delivery tool merely to fill a missing field.

If the purchase contains a quantity greater than one, verify how the individual objects are distinguished. A single line item with quantity two does not automatically create two independent file positions in the app.

DEMO-503 / print BSAMPLE-ART-B503-B-demo-certificate.pdf

Every sample document should be marked “Demonstration only.” These references are invented for the workflow and make no claim about actual artwork or authenticity.

Review before the physical and digital handoff

  1. Confirm the issuer approved the certificate.
  2. Compare the object reference with the fulfillment record.
  3. Check that the PDF describes the intended item.
  4. Verify the selected order item and recipient.
  5. Confirm whether the certificate accompanies shipment or follows later.
  6. Record the approved file revision and source.

Keep the physical dispatch and document delivery states distinct. A shipped item can still have a pending certificate, and a delivered certificate does not prove shipment. Explain any timing difference to the buyer.

Deliver a useful reference, not a validity claim

QuickAttach documents item-specific files and links. Use that association so support can locate the document for the purchased object. The app’s delivery activity is not an authenticity assessment.

A concise message might say: “The document for item SAMPLE-ART-A is available with your order. Please compare its reference with the item record and contact us if they do not match.” Adapt the wording to the issuer’s approved process.

Shopify’s public Files area is not an appropriate default for documents containing personal or confidential details. Choose storage and access deliberately. If a correction is needed, obtain the issuer’s approved replacement, label it clearly, and preserve the relationship to the original item rather than sending an unexplained new certificate.

Deliver the right file with the right order
