Deliver a Course Completion Certificate Sold Through Shopify

Confirm completion with the course owner before releasing the certificate. Shopify delivery can distribute the finished document, but neither payment nor a file download proves course completion or accreditation.

Identify the learner separately from the purchaser

A buyer may purchase training for someone else or for several participants. The certificate belongs to the approved learner record, while the order identifies the transaction. Confirm who may receive the document rather than assuming those identities are always the same.

Learning records and eligibility checks should stay with the course provider’s established process. Do not describe QuickAttach as a learning-management system or a certificate generator.

A fictional completion handoff

DEMO-504 purchases a demonstration workshop. The course owner marks a synthetic participant record complete and supplies an approved PDF labeled “Demo certificate — not a credential.” The delivery operator verifies the order reference and the authorized recipient before attaching the file.

Inspect the actual PDF

Check spelling, text placement, page size, and whether all content is visible in the exported file. A template can look correct in its editor while the PDF clips a long name or omits an element. Keep a source reference for corrections without duplicating participant details across unnecessary systems.

  1. Confirm the issuer’s release instruction.
  2. Open the final export.
  3. Compare the course and participant fields.
  4. Check the order-item association.
  5. Test the intended download path.

Keep the customer message precise

QuickAttach can deliver a prepared file from an order. The message should say the certificate is available and identify the course sufficiently for recognition. Do not add claims about accreditation, licensing, or recognized qualifications unless the course provider has authorized and substantiated them.

For documents containing personal information, follow Shopify’s warning against using public Content > Files storage. Assess the selected private or recipient-controlled route instead.

If the learner reports an error, route the correction to the issuer rather than editing the certificate informally in support. Deliver the approved revised version with a clear replacement message. Retention and re-download availability should be stated separately from the lasting meaning of the certificate.
