Choose the format from the purchased task
A planning model needs working formulas and clear input cells. A static analysis may only need a readable report. Do not substitute a PDF for an editable workbook without agreement, and do not assume every customer uses the same spreadsheet application as the creator.
Record the intended software and version assumptions in the handoff. Test the final export in the environments you promise to support; this article does not claim cross-application compatibility.
A synthetic workbook release checklist
- Confirm the order reference and purpose on a start tab.
- Review hidden sheets, rows, columns, comments, and named ranges.
- Inspect external links and data connections for unintended dependencies.
- Remove unrelated customer data and internal working notes.
- Test representative input cells and check expected recalculation.
- Open the final saved copy separately from the working source.
Use the authoring application’s current inspection tools where available, but do not assume one automated check catches everything. A deliberate sheet-by-sheet review remains useful.
A fictional budget-model package
DEMO-494 purchases a custom event budget. The merchant supplies 494-budget-R1.xlsx and a PDF illustrating the starting scenario. The workbook includes a read-me explaining input cells, protected assumptions, and the date of the baseline. The PDF is labeled “reference snapshot,” so it is not confused with the editable model.
If both files must belong to one item, use a tested single ZIP package or another approved single entry point. Do not assume multiple independent attachments per item. The package should contain only customer-ready exports.
Explain how to start
Save a working copy before changing inputs. Begin on the Start tab, then update the highlighted input cells. The PDF shows the original scenario for reference; it will not change when you edit the workbook. Contact us if the file does not open in the agreed application.
This message is a fictional template. Adapt it to the actual workbook instead of referring to colors or tabs that do not exist.
QuickAttach delivers a prepared file or link from an order; it does not validate spreadsheet calculations or remove hidden content. Check the upload size before attaching the package. Record the approved revision so a later correction can distinguish an error fix from changes the buyer made in their own copy.
