Lost email does not necessarily mean lost file
The file may still be available through the original order’s supported download surface. Equally, an old file may no longer be hosted. Check the order and release record before deciding that another email is the answer.
The QuickAttach walkthrough describes an order-status return path for customers. Its availability depends on the configured extension and supported customer context. Do not direct a buyer to an account tab that your store has not enabled and tested.
A recovery sequence for support
- Locate the order using the store’s normal customer-verification process.
- Identify the purchased item and intended release revision.
- Check whether the file or external destination remains available.
- Determine whether the verified customer order route can provide access.
- If necessary, use the app’s supported delivery or resend procedure after reviewing recipient and file selection.
- Record what was done so another agent does not send a conflicting copy.
A request from a new email address deserves verification through the store’s established process. Do not change the destination solely because someone knows an order number.
Fictional example: an archived inbox
A buyer of order 4508 cannot find the message containing a custom shelving plan. Support confirms the order, sees that the intended file is still available, and provides instructions for the tested order download route. The buyer retrieves the same approved revision without a new production request.
If that route is not configured, support investigates the supported resend action. If the file is unavailable, support instead checks the merchant’s approved retained copy and recovery process. Each branch is a different task, even though the customer’s initial question is the same.
A customer response to adapt
We found the delivery for your order. You can retrieve the file through the order download route described below while it remains available. If you see an error, tell us the wording on the page and the device you are using. Please do not send your password or share the private download link publicly.
Add only the specific navigation steps you have tested. Do not paste internal storage paths or access tokens into the response.
Check the cause before repeating the send
QuickAttach support guidance includes confirming the customer email, testing the download link, and checking external permissions. A resend will not repair a deleted file or a provider destination that rejects the recipient. Resolve those issues first, then give the buyer a single clear retrieval path.
Keep the recovery record limited to the order reference, action, and outcome. It should help the next support agent without creating another unnecessary copy of the document.
