Use a simple stock model
For a stable workload, a planning estimate is files per month × average bytes per file × retained months. Add existing stored files and any revisions you expect to retain. This is an approximation of active storage, not a billing calculator or a promise about how the app meters every event.
Measure a representative sample of finished customer files. A source document or uncompressed project folder is not necessarily the asset you will upload. Include large packages in the sample rather than estimating from only the smallest PDFs.
Clearly hypothetical calculation
Suppose a demonstration store uploads 80 files per month, each averaging 4 MB, and plans three months of active delivery copies. Using decimal units for illustration, the baseline is 80 × 4 × 3 = 960 MB. If it also retains 20 replacement files averaging 4 MB, the illustrative total becomes 1,040 MB. These values are invented and are not measured QuickAttach usage.
The small change from revisions matters when an estimate is near an allowance. Keep room for variation and confirm the app's actual unit and metering rules before translating the model into charges.
Input worksheet
| Input | How to obtain it |
|---|---|
| Files uploaded per month | Count deliverables, not just orders |
| Typical and large-file size | Measure finished exports |
| Retention period | Choose within actual product terms and business needs |
| Retained revisions | Review correction practice |
| Existing stored assets | Inspect current account usage |
| Growth scenario | Model a clearly labeled increase in volume |
Compare with current limits
On 30 September 2026, the official listing shows 1 GB included storage and file retention up to 365 days. The pricing page describes additional storage charges and a 100 MB maximum per uploaded file. Recheck current billing approval details before making a purchase decision.
Retention is not a promise of permanent availability. Keep the production archive separately and decide what customers are promised after delivery copies expire or are removed.
Revisit the estimate after real use
Compare actual stored usage with the model after a representative operating period. If they differ, investigate file sizes, revisions, and retention before assuming a billing error. External links introduce separate provider costs and maintenance responsibilities; do not count them as free permanent storage.
