Clarify the support question
“Which file did I receive?” can mean the original delivery, the latest corrected version, or the file the customer just downloaded. Ask which event they mean before searching. Confirm the order through your normal customer-verification process and avoid sending files simply because someone knows a filename.
Use the order reference to locate the purchase, then identify the relevant item. The same buyer may have several orders containing the same product. A customer name or SKU alone is not enough to select the deliverable.
Investigation sequence
- Identify the order and purchased item.
- Inspect the file or external link currently associated with that item.
- Review the available delivery activity and timestamps.
- Look for recorded replacements or correction notes.
- Compare the current revision with the revision mentioned in the customer's message.
- State what the records establish and what remains uncertain.
Do not claim that the current attachment must have been the original one. A replacement or a changing external document can make that inference wrong.
A fictional revision question
Demo order 5174 contains a custom report. The customer refers to 5174-report-v01.pdf, but the current order asset is v02. An internal note records a correction and a later delivery action. Support can explain that v02 is current and describe the correction from the note. If the original file history was not retained, staff should not invent certainty about the exact bytes originally downloaded.

Resolve the customer's task
If the customer simply needs the current file, verify its correctness and access before guiding them to the appropriate download path. If they report wrong contents, escalate for production review instead of repeatedly resending the same asset.
The QuickAttach delivery workflow provides useful order context and activity. Consult support when the visible record is unclear. Download tracking is an observation of activity, not proof that a particular person read or accepted the document.
