Set Up QuickAttach Customer-Page Extensions Before Going Live

Inspect the customer-page extensions available for your store, add the supported blocks through the appropriate Shopify editor, and verify them with a synthetic order. Installation alone is not evidence that every customer-facing surface is active.

Identify the surfaces your buyers use

List the routes you expect customers to use: delivery email, order-status page, and relevant customer-account pages. Account configuration and supported extension locations matter. Do not assume that adding a block to one surface activates all of them.

Shopify's checkout and accounts editor guide describes editing these surfaces separately from the theme editor. Its customization guidance says supported pages for app blocks can be checked after installation. Use the options actually available in your store.

Activation sequence

  1. Confirm the intended account and checkout configuration.
  2. Open the appropriate checkout/accounts configuration in Shopify.
  3. Inspect the app blocks offered for each relevant surface.
  4. Add the supported QuickAttach block where appropriate and review placement.
  5. Save the intended configuration following Shopify's current controls.
  6. Test the real customer path with a synthetic order.

Follow any current QuickAttach-specific activation guidance in the app or from support. This is a setup checklist, not a claim that particular block names, plans, or account types were verified in a live store.

A fictional activation check

Demo order 5195 contains one clearly labeled PDF. The tester checks the page before delivery, performs the synthetic send, and then revisits the customer route. They record what is actually visible rather than assuming that a successful editor preview proves live-order behavior.

Shopify notes that the editor uses a simulated environment. Treat its preview as a layout check and use a real test-order flow for acceptance.

Complete setup with an owner

Record which surfaces were activated, which were unavailable or unnecessary, and who maintains the configuration. If a required path cannot be verified, resolve it before promising it to customers. The QuickAttach walkthrough provides the broader order-to-download context.
