Record evidence beside each result: action, observed customer message, destination, and remaining uncertainty. A capability documented by a vendor can be marked “documented” before testing, but should not be marked “passed.”
Make the final choice reviewable
After functional checks, compare the required plan, storage, retention, and staff effort. Keep the shortlist date and source links so a later reviewer can understand why the choice was made. Avoid stars or numerical rankings when the underlying evidence is only a document review. A good decision names the store scenario, the passing workflow, and the conditions that would make another option preferable.
